Resilience Excerpt I

In 2021, Isabel debuted her first solo show presented by University of Houston’s Blaffer Art Museum and The University Museum at Texas Southern University. “Resilience,” choreographed and performed by Isabel Wallace-Green, responds to Jamal Cyrus: The End of My Beginning. In the site-specific, immersive performance, Isabel showcases a series of solos inspired by themes of African American identity, resilience, and culture—ideas existing in and around her, a biracial black American artist physically embedded in Cyrus’ exhibit.

Resilience Excerpt II

Excerpt II features the third, first, and fourth sections from Isabel’s solo show “Resilience” presented by Blaffer Art Museum and Texas Southern University. “Resilience,” choreographed and performed by Isabel Wallace-Green, responds to Jamal Cyrus: The End of My Beginning.
